    1. aIn Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
    2. bClick Add custom connector, name it GeminiLaunch and paste your link. Nothing else to fill in.
    3. cClick Connect. A GeminiLaunch page opens: sign in and click Allow.

Common questions

What is the GeminiLaunch MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT use outside tools. The GeminiLaunch MCP server is a remote MCP endpoint at https://www.geminilaunch.com/api/mcp that lets your AI assistant build, publish and manage real websites for you, straight from a chat. It exposes five tools: list_sites, publish_site, update_site, set_seo_metadata and delete_project.

How do I connect Claude or ChatGPT to GeminiLaunch?

Copy the GeminiLaunch connection link (https://www.geminilaunch.com/api/mcp). In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste it. In ChatGPT, turn on Developer mode, then go to Settings → Plugins → Create MCP App, paste the link and set Authentication to OAuth. Sign in to GeminiLaunch and click Allow. Setup takes about one minute.

Can ChatGPT or Claude publish a website for me?

Yes. Once GeminiLaunch is connected, you can ask your AI assistant to build a website and publish it, and you get back a live public URL. It can also list your sites, update an existing site, set SEO titles, descriptions and preview images, and delete a site after you confirm.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. For Claude and ChatGPT you paste one link and click Allow. There are no API keys and no code to write. Claude Code is the only option aimed at developers who already work in a terminal.

Is it safe to connect my account to an AI assistant?

Yes. You sign in on a GeminiLaunch page, so your AI app never sees your password. It cannot see your billing, it cannot change a site’s web address or custom domain, and it asks you before it replaces or deletes anything. You can disconnect any app from the GeminiLaunch MCP page at any time, and it stops working on its next request.

Does the GeminiLaunch MCP connector cost extra?

No. It is included on every plan, including Free. On Free you can keep up to 3 live sites and publish up to 20 times a day from AI apps. Pro and Scale also let your AI update existing sites and raise the limit to 100 publishes a day.

Which AI apps work with the GeminiLaunch MCP server?

Claude (web and desktop), ChatGPT (with Developer mode turned on), Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code (Copilot agent mode) and OpenAI Codex. Any other client that supports remote MCP servers over streamable HTTP with OAuth can use the same connection link.

If something goes wrong

My AI says it can only read, or is not allowed to publish, update or delete

That connection was made before those abilities existed. Its badge under Connected apps shows what it can do. Remove GeminiLaunch in your AI app, add it again and click Allow. Then disconnect the old one on this page.

Claude answers without using GeminiLaunch

Connectors can be turned off for each chat. Open the tools menu under the message box and switch GeminiLaunch on, or add “using GeminiLaunch” to your message.

ChatGPT never asks me to sign in, or its answers come back empty

Authentication was probably left on “None”. Edit the app in Settings → Plugins, set Authentication to OAuth, save, and connect again.

Claude Code says it is unauthorized

Adding the server and signing in are two separate steps. Type /mcp, choose geminilaunch, then Authenticate.

Updating a site says it needs a paid plan

On the Free plan, sites cannot be edited after they are published. This is the same rule as the dashboard, and nothing was changed. Publishing new sites and SEO settings still work.

I changed the preview image but shared links still show the old one

WhatsApp, X, LinkedIn and others remember link previews for a while. Your new image is saved, and their copy updates on its own.
